Standing Orders

Standing orders are the rules and regulations that provide the framework for the functioning of the Parish Council. Some of the regulations are legal requirements whilst others are guidance provided by NALC (the National Association of Local Government) based on good practice. Not all parishes have their own written rules but Stratton Audley does and has spent considerable time revising them recently in an attempt to make them comprehensible, relevant and fit for our own purposes.
